hello everybody I am back and I have another story for earthday birthday is so important in taking care of our planet is so important it deserves sorry this one it's called the Great kapok tree tale of the Amazon rainforest is interconnected forest and sky and Earth animals and plants and humans all day and on each other to make the planet survive and this is story that talks about being connected like that in the whole world being connected in many many different ways I'm going to read note from you on this page here rainforest is always hot and in that keep everything grows and grows and grows the tops of the trees in the rainforest are called the canopy the canopy is a sunny place that touches the sky the animals that live there like House of light colorful parrots fly from tree to tree monkey sleep from Branch to Branch the bottom of the rainforest is called the understory the animals that live in the understory like Darkness their silence Earl around Hanging Vine graceful Jaguar watch and wait and in this steaming environment the great kapok tree shoot up to the forest and emerges above the canopy dishes. story of a community of animals that live in one such and saw the sun streaming through the canopy spots a bright light glow like Jews amidst the dark green forest strange and beautiful things to dangle in the air suspended from the great kapok tree the man smell the fragrance perfume of their flowers he felt the steamy Mist rising from the forest floor play Hurt no sound for the creatures with strangely silent the man stood and picked up his ex just won back his arm as though strike the tree suddenly he stopped he turned and looked at the animals with a child hesitated then he dropped the axe and wall out of the rainforest that is the great kapok tree why do you think the man walked out of the rainforest what do you think is going on in his mind you think he's going to think about the forest different is it going to take about the animals and the tree differently I hope so now there's a little letter note on this page from the author here's what she has to say dear readers I wrote The Great kapok tree to let the world know what happened to the rainforest creatures and to the entire planet when rainforest are destroyed I hope that after reading this book will help save the rainforest the great kapok tree is about the Amazon rainforest a tropical rainforest but we have a temperate rainforest in the Pacific Northwest of the United States that we must protect to please care for Mother Earth together we can make a difference please care from other what happens in the Amazon rainforest all the way down in South America affect stuff that happens up here what happened all the way on the other side of the world can affect our lives here everything is connected all people all plants and animals are all oceans All Rivers All Desert we are all connected and we need all of us to take care of our planet happy birthday my friend I will see
