Spotlight Message

Special Education Teacher:  Mrs. Leona Stanton

 

Mrs. Stanton truly pours her heart into every learner and works endlessly because she knows every student can learn. She has been a mentor for many teachers throughout the year, and is always a team player. Her message to new teachers is that all students matter and can be reached with the right amount of love, perseverance and support. In her diverse classroom, her large group of students consists of students with learning needs, attentional needs, communication needs and emotional needs. She always finds a way to reach everyone of them.  This teacher always has ideas, evaluates needs and recommends improvements to ensure our school is the best it can be at all times.

 

Instructional Aide:  Jennifer Gordienko

 

Mrs. Gordienko works with a high needs population. She is patience, kind and competent. She always puts students first. She helps out in the entire school community and supports all the staff in her class. She understands the diverse needs of the autism and MD students, always supporting them with love and kindness. She helps new members of the class and the other paraprofessionals understand the roles as a support aide.
