About the Teacher

My name is Christin Takacs and I am excited to be at the Clara Barton School.  My travels throughout Bordentown have had me at every grade level and K-5 building in the last 17 years.  For the last 6 years, I have taught kindergarten and first grade.  I previously taught Kindergarten in Ewing township for 5 years and am so glad to back with this joyous age group and first grade in Bordentown for several years.  Kindergarten and first grade are years of amazing growth.  We will go from letter recognition to early reading, from drawing lines and pictures to writing sentences, and rote counting to simple addition and subtraction.  The first graders will be reading and writing longer more challenging pieces.  What an amazing journey we will take!

 

Personally, I am a local resident and participate in many community activities.  My daughter graduated from BRHS and is now studying at the University of Tampa.  I look forward to getting to know you and your child as this school year unfolds!
