My name is Mrs. Jarka and I am very excited to be back to teaching after taking off nearly two years to raise my children, Bryn and Brian. I received my Bachelor’s in Art Education from Richard Stockton College of NJ and The Art Institute of Philadelphia. This is my 10th year teaching at Clara Barton and MacFarland Intermediate Schools.
While I may have expectations for my students, I realize that we all learn, create, and express ideas in different ways. I hope to instill a love for creating, exploring and appreciating art in your child.
I can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org. I look forward to a colorful and creative year in art.
What's going on in the CBS Art Studio!
We are learning about the artist Georgia O'Keeffe and her love for painting flowers. Artists will explore painting and blending techniques and paint a masterpiece similar to the work of Ms. O'Keeffe.
Artists will learn about the artist Paul Klee. We will create a colorful painting using Mr. Klee's abstract style. We will also explore warm and cool colors.
Artists will create a colorful design using shapes and symmetry. When we finish our lesson we will hang all of our artwork together to create one large classroom masterpiece.
Spring has Sprung!! It's that time of year when the colorful flowers begin to bloom. Our busy artists will create a gorgeous painting of a cherry blossom branch. We will learn about the art element value when we paint our petals.
